Connections! Do you have any?

Ok, ok, ok! I'll officially announce it on my blog (lucky blog, you're the first official announcement I'm making).

Jed and I have decided to get married.. if you couldn't tell already!
where? Salt Lake Temple
When? Friday, January 2nd, 2009 @ 1:00 pm
Why? Because we love each other, duh!

Anyway, so we're trying to get this whole wedding planned in just over two months. So the question I have for you all is about connections-- here's where it gets interactive! I'm wondering if you know anyone who does photography? flowers? decoration idea? Anything!

My ears are open and I wanna hear any suggestions you may have! Thanks, all!

I am all about planning wedding quickly (and cheaply). Here's a website with really cute (fairly cheap) invitations/announcements:

They have free shipping if you email their page to someone else (I emailed the page to could email it to Jed!). That saves you about $50...not bad! Plus, they ship them out super fast.

Send me an email if you have any other questions and I'll be trying to think of more ideas....congratulations! Adam and I were married on January 4th last's a good way to begin a year!

Hey I know this GREAT guy that can probably do your dessert bar and luncheon! Ha ha! Just kidding... but not really. Anyway... we had a gal do our pictures down there and we really liked them. I think she has a website... it is If not let me know; I have her e-mail address.
Just so you know... my mom and us girls made April's boutoniers from fake flowers and they were pretty easy and quick if you are looking to save some money. I did my bouquet and really liked it, but I don't know if you would... remind me to show you when you come up. Also, sounds weird, but you can order flowers from Costco if you know someone that has a card... I've heard they are fairly cheap and good quality, so you might want to check into that. The end.

i can ask my aunt and see if she might be willing to help with flowers. she's usually pretty busy but might be willing if i offer to help. i'd just need to know what kind of flowers you want and all that stuff.

The girl that did my photography was named Emily Vandyke. I really like her, I think she's listed in the phone book, but I'll try to get you her number as soon as I find it.

kent and megans photographer is one of megans best friends from high school, and he started his photography business about a year ago, but he's done a bunch of weddings, engagements, bridals, everything. he's got professional camera equiptment and everything, the works. i met him on monday and he is awesome! he's also really inexpensive because hes jsut trying to get some experience behind him before he charges people the normal going rate. he's doing megans and kents pictures for free as their wedding gift, and he's willing to do any package and make something work for whats in your budget, anyways, hes awesome. if you want his number let me know!

love you!!

Hey!!! Congratulations!! I'm so happy/excited for you!! Yay!!
So, my advice is, ask my mom to do your cake. She does the BEST cakes! Not only do they look great, but they taste like heaven! And, I know she'll do yours for free.
Also, make your invite list ASAP!! I had a six week engagement, and I did not have enough time to track down everyone I wanted to invite, so get going on that.
Remember, that your wedding and reception last a day, but the pictures last the rest of your lives! GET GOOD ONES! Really search out an awesome photographer. If I knew one around here, I'd tell you, but I don't. DO NOT SETTLE! That is my one regret, that I used my friends instead of professionals. I look at other peoples' wedding albums with envy. Don't do what I did. Use the money you'd save on the cake for getting a more expensive photographer. ;) Good luck!!

She has her own business and has been working for years. She is seriously AMAZING! Plus I figured it is always nice when they know your family it makes it more relaxed and fun. Good luck with all the plans!

Her website is She doesn't have very many wedding stuff, but a lot of portrait work on there.
