A work in progress....

I'm still learning to how to do wifey things like cook. We're doing our own mini thanksgiving with turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato souffle, and crock pot stuffing.. and maaaybe green been casserole. So today I went grocery shopping where there were no shopping carts available and where I stood in line for like 30 minutes.

Oh, and one other thing..

I may or may not have accidentally bought a whole chicken instead of a turkey...

oops.

Devon and I were thinking about doing our own little Thanksgiving dinner too...but I have yet to get the shopping done as I really don't want to deal with all the traffic and lines at the store. *sigh*

That's so fun that you get to try Thanksgiving on your own! I think we'll end up doing that next year and I'm pretty excited. I'll just have to take good notes on how to cook a turkey...

Cook the chicken the same way you would a turkey and no one will be the wiser. You're awesome!! Post your sweet potato souffle on the blog!

There are pre-cooked Turkey Breasts at Sam's club. They're a little pricey, but to me it's worth it because then I can't mess it up.

Hey I am doing this too... I am excited but a little nervous, we are doing our own little turkey day on Sunday. I went to Winco to do my shopping and don't worry I stood in like for 30 min too, no shopping carts, and it took me over an hour to do my shopping cuz it was so crazy there! Let me know how your meal goes or if you have an secrets!

ps Danielle said precooked turkey breasts but also uncooked turkey breasts are GREAT and delicious easy to cook and you don't have to buy a whole turkey!!
