Books

Right now, I am reading four books. It is kind of hard to decide which book I want to read and when, but they are all very fun or interesting! It might take my like 6 months to finish all four (actually, I would love to be finished with all of them in 6 months-- especially HP), but I kind of like switching it up, even if it takes longer to read them all.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
J.K. Rowling
Of course all Harry Potter books are really great reads. I started this one in highschool and never finished it, so I am trying again. I'd also like to read the 6th and 7th books as well.

Food Rules
Michael Pollan
My workout buddy told me about this book and lent it to me. So far I haven't gotten too far in, but I'm liking what I see. The book is basically split into three sections: 1) Eat Food, 2) Eat mostly plants, and 3)Don't eat too much (or something to that affect). Basically the book discusses the American Diet, and share simple and true "rules" about eating!

The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud
Ben Sherwood
I really enjoyed the movie Charlie St. Cloud, so I thought I'd read the book too! I just started it last night, and I read the first 100 or so pages, so needless to say, it is a fast, easy, and entertaining read. I'd recommend it, based on what I've read so far.

The Hunger Games
Suzanne Collins

A few weeks ago, one of Jed's kids at his work told Jed he had to read this book, that is was the first BOOK he'd ever read and that he liked it. I've only heard good things about the Hunger Games from pretty much everyone, so I'm excited to read... or listen. I am listening to this one on CD. You know a book is good, when you don't want to get out of your car cause you're so interested in what's going on. That is so this book.

What books are you reading right now? What books would you suggest I read next?

i love listening to books!!! It hurts my eyes to read too long, so I always have an audio book going in my car. I'm reading 5th grade books right now, which you probably wouldn't be interested in, but i love hearing your book updates!

I am reading the 5th Harry Potter right now too! I ride the trax to and from work, and I can't wait, because I get about 45 minutes of reading time in. I never thought I would be a reader!

And I would love to read the Hunger Games, I've heard great things about that book!

Dan really enjoyed the Percy Jackson books (similar to HP). If you haven't read Little House on the Prairie series, it's a nice easy read. You'll make some good reading progress on your trip to Hawaii. Lots of airport time :) I always make sure to have a couple books with me on a trip.

Reed and I both really loved the Percy Jackson books and the Fablehaven books...both fantasy/harry potter type books. Another really great series is the Ranger's Apprentice...I read 4 of them over Christmas break and am excited for summer so I can read the rest!

Ugh. The Hunger Games. So. Good. Excited for the movie next year!
I'm currently listening to Water for Elephants. It's pretty good so far.
also, just FYI if you go to www.audible.com/hulu you can get two free audio book downloads. That's how I got Water for Elephants. There's tons of popular books on there. You have to give them your credit card and they won't charge it for 30 days for your free trial. But I just downloaded my books and cancelled! I love free stuff!!

I am wanting to re-read the last couple HP books before the very last movie comes out. HOWEVER

I am reading Dan Brown's new book "Lost Symbol" He's the guy who wrote the Divinci Code and Angels & Demons. They're quite the page turners for me. I love history and mystery books.

I'm also in the middle of the series "The Sword of Truth" It's an 11 book series I've been working on for the last year. It's kind of Lord of the Rings meets Harry Potter meets Twilight. No vampires though. Wizards and love and long journeys fighting off evil sort of things. :)

I jsut finished the book "These Is My Words." Very good, funny, emotional. Definitely one I recommend.

Also, I have the 2nd and 3rd books in the Hunger Games series. I can mail 'em to you if you want. You'll get thru the first one fast and you won't want to wait to read the next. Believe me. And books are meant to be passed around and shared.
