Families are Forever

Today, we had our regional conference. I'm sure many of you (those of you in Utah county) heard the same things I did. It was really uplifting, and I appreciate the emphasis placed on eternal families.

Today marks the birthday of my oldest sister who died shortly after her traumatic premature birth. My mom is in town right now and shared a part of the story with me. I just couldn't help but to tear up thinking that I am in the same place my mom was-- excited to be expecting her first child, a girl! While I am far enough along at this point to not have to worry as much, I definitely still worry.

This girl is already a big part of our family, and when I find myself worrying, I am comforted to know that no matter what, this baby can't be lost. She is ours and we will love her forever!  Aren't we blessed?

I have always been told that I have family members on the other side who pray for and watch over me. I know my big sis is one of those, and I can't wait to meet her someday. I think we all have cheerleaders on this side of the veil and the other. Families are the most important unit in this life and the life to come. Cherish yours!

That was really beautiful. We are all so excited for you and your beautiful new little girl. She is being born into one of the best situations/families in this entire world. You will both be blessed to have each other. We're praying for you.
