Bonjour!

I must say that today was one of the funnest days I've had since I moved to UT! It was a blast! The Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork held its annual "Festival of Colors." They had singing, dancing, a bonfire, and lots of food. However, the most exciting part (and the part that attracts people from all over the state) is their colored powder. They sell bags of colored powder that people just throw at each other for hours and hours. I went with the MGs, but i saw a ton of friends! It was really a memorable experience- one I plan on doing a few more times in my life! I am clean now, but my shower seems to be permanently dyed purple from the 98 cups of powder that were in my hair! If you ever have the opportunity to go-- TAKE IT! Love love love!

Me before with my friends Lindsay and Jenny!

This is Josh Preston. I loved him as a sunbeam. LOVED. Then he moved away, broke my heart, and I hadn't seen him since.. until I randomly threw powder on him then realized it was HIM. Gasp! I think I scared him when I suggested we take a picture together :( He's really cute, and I would never admit it anywhere but here (i doubt he'll ever find this-- he just doesn't seem the blogging type!)

These are some Provo MGs-- Natali and Jenny!

Me.

You can kind of see the awesome temple in the background. We're with an elephant.

Oh... my life....

I'm a little hesitant to actually write about this specific topic, but it must be done. Don't judge.. just laugh!

As some of you may know, I am in love.. IN LOVE... with a wonderful guy named JED! Fortunately, I am able to say that he is serving a mission right now. This tiny detail complicates my life a little bit, knowing the man I want to marry is serving a short 45 minutes away in SALT LAKE CITY, yet it seems as though he is a world away.
What do I do to cope with the trauma of loving someone I can't see? Well, until about a month ago I would look at pictures, read old letter and emails, and basically spiral downward in a pathetic pity party.
Now? Well, with the discovery of an amazing support group, I am able to CELEBRATE this time of personal growth with inspiring ladies who are going through the exact same thing. Waiting for a missionary is a unique experience. It's hard to have people laughing, making rude comments, and doubting your sanity with the knowledge of you missionary man. So, knowing that these girls, Missionary's Girls-- the MGs we call ourselves-- know every emotion is such a comfort! It's a world-wide group, but I'm fortunate enough to live in Utah now, where the majority of other girls live as well!
We cook, we wii, we partAy, we dance, we sing, we scrapbook, and we HAVE FUN! I love them! Yes, please laugh at me!

Can I just say that I love the Jazz!?

I went to my first game ever last week (Jazz vs. the Pistons), and it was SO FUN! I went with a friend, Mckay, from work! His dad scored us 6th row seats! I Love a good basketball (heck-- I played for nine years!), and this one was S-U-S-P-E-N-S-F-U-L!! I won't bore you all with the details, but the Jazz totally came from behind beating the pistons in the final quater! That enthusiastic Jazz bear is so CrAzY looking! Ohand the best part? Watching a 91 year-old woman usher do the SPLITS! Umm.. hello! I've never ever done the splits in my entire life! I wish I had a picture! I will tell you, though, I pretty much fell IN LOVE with Kyle Korver! My beautiful number 26 kept me entertained, and at one point I was so caught up in his dreamy looks that I screamed "Korver, I love you" so loud. I KNOW he heard me because he was only like 15 feet away, it was quiet when I yelled, and everyone around me looked at me like i was some crazy girl-- i guess they were right! Anyway, enjoy the pictures of my first Jazz game! It was a BLAST!
